Collide - Shifting
been down and underneath
I've been looking still looking
through, through me
been down and underneath
I've been looking still looking
through...through me
she is shifting in
logic was lost
concept within
I think and I am
what's your purpose
thinking again
been calling out to me
I've been looking
through the mirror
been calling out to me
I've been wondering through me
she is shifting in
logic was lost
concept within
I think and I am
what's your purpose
thinking again
try to connect and
thinking I am
turning directly moving on
trying to move closer
trying to move on
trying to get there moving far
loosing focus

I think and I am
what's your purpose
thinking again
try to connect and thinking I am
turning directly moving on
trying to get close, try to move on
trying to get there moving far
Collide was founded in L.A. in 1992, by Karin and StatiK. Statik is responsible for the sound orchestrations and overall production while kaRIN holds the enchanted vocals and lyrics. They had incorporated elements of trip hop, synthpop, and darkwave. Collide's debut album, Beneath the Skin, was released in 1996, followed by a remix album, Distort. Then, dissatisfied with the music industry, Collide started their own record label, Noiseplus Music, and in 2000 they released their second studio album, Chasing the Ghost.
"We never thought of starting a band, we just wanted to make the kind of music we wanted to hear. After the first few songs were finished, we thought the collaboration sounded like something special. A few songs later, we realized that the music we were making was really important to us. It would need a name. We thought long and hard and then COLLIDE came to us. We knew it was right, as it described what we were doing and the feeling of the music perfectly." - Collide -
Emilie Autumn - Across The Sky
What is your substance?
Whereof are you made,
That millions of strange shadows on you tend?
Since everyone, have everyone, one shade
And you, but one, can every shadow lend
See beyond the moment
Think beyond the day
Hear the word
My voice will not be cast away
Fatalistic fortune
Ever near the end
Love goes on
But time does not return again
Across the sky
I will come for you
If you ask me to
Demystify
Your uncommon dreams
Stranger things have come true
Fear no more the midnight
Fear no more the sea
Close your eyes, regret nothing
You're safe with me
Look into the shadows
Step into the mist
Search your land but doubt never
I still exist
Across the sky
I will come for you
If you ask me to
Demystify
Your uncommon dreams
Stranger things have come
Across the sky
I will come for you
If you ask me to
Demystify
Your uncommon dreams
Stranger things have come true
Ask yourself: is this all there is?
Take no answer but the one you find
I have put my faith in aberrations of your kind
But even if you're in my mind
Across the sky
I will come to you
If you ask me to
Demystify
Your uncommon dreams
Stranger things have come
(Across the sky)
Should we hear the silence?
Should we hear the noise?
(I will come for you)
I don't need this blind acceptance
I have made my choice
(If you ask me to)
(Demystify)
Light lives in the darkness
Beauty lives in pain
(Your uncommon dreams)
In destruction we may lose ourselves
But still I will remain
(Stranger things have come true)
Across the sky
Across the sky
See beyond the moment
Think beyond the day
Hear the word
Hear the word
Hear the word
Hear the word
Emilie Autumn Liddell was born in Malibu, California in 1979. She began learning the violin at the age of four and left regular school five years later with the goal of becoming a world-class violinist. Progressing to writing her own music, she studied under various teachers and went to Indiana University, which she left over issues regarding the relationship between classical music and her appearance. She eventually progressed on her own becoming an exceptional songwriter, poet, singer, and violinist.
Through her own independent label "Traitor Records", Emilie Autumn debuted with her classical album On a Day "Music for Violin & Continuo", followed by the release in 2003 of her supernaturally themed album "Enchant". As a sufferer of bipolar disorder, she uses her experiences as a source of inspiration for her work. She was admitted to a psychiatric ward at a Los Angeles hospital after attempting suicide in 2004. Upon her release, she had her cell block number tattooed on her right arm as a way of remembering what happened to her. in 2010 she penned her autobiographical novel, "The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls", which contains many of her real-life diary entries from that stage of her life.
Emilie Autumn draws influence for her music—the style of which she has alternatively labeled as "Victoriandustrial" and glam rock—from plays, novels, and history, particularly the Victorian era. Performing with her all-female backing band The Bloody Crumpets, Autumn incorporates elements of classical music, cabaret, electronica, and glam rock with theatrics, and burlesque.
Hannah Fury - Girls that glitter love the dark
Girls that glitter love the dark
We lace it through our bitter, black little hearts
And then we feign surprise when we see
That those we've loved to love
Have seeped into our poisoned blood
Girls that glitter deceive death
We thread ourselves through innocent flesh
And then we feign surprise when we see
That those we've loved to waste they seem to be erased
Knit it through, thread it, sew it to unsuspecting flesh
They won't regret it, or so they say
And those you have loved have snagged on your thorny veins
But they don't regret it, or so you say
Girls that glitter desecrate a kiss
We break the code of happiness
And then we feign surprise when we see
That those we've loved have loved to leave
Girls that glitter defile hope
We think that love is just tightening that sad little rope
And then we open our eyes and we see
Through the gash of a fluttering eyelash
We see love trying desperately to flee
But you don't ever have to fear
Just break its wings and it will never disappear
You don't ever have to fear
Just break its wings and it will never disappear
Knit it through, capture it and stitch it to
your brittle little heart
At least that way love can't tear it apart
Knit it through, sew it to
They won't regret you
...And if they do?
But the thing that girls know best
Is that glitter covers all the ugliness
And they know one thing above all the rest:
Sparkle covers evilness
Shimmer covers all the mess
Glitter covers darkness
And then came the moment when the swarm of bees drowned
Hannah Fury began her self-teaching process of mastering the piano at the age of 16 after finding inspiration in a song which she described as having coalesced in her mind—naming it "The Vampire Waltz." By the early 1990s she initiated the process of producing and releasing her own music, starting with a four-song demo tape. Eventually the songs from this tape were developed into the self-released EP "Soul Poison" in 1998.
Since then, Hannah’s has released two full-length
albums as well as a handful of singles and EPs, all receiving high praise from
the music press. "The Thing That Feels" featured several songs
inspired by Gregory Maguire’s novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked
Witch of the West. (Pre-dating the Broadway musical by several years.) The
Thing That Feels also included “The Vampire Waltz,” as well as other songs all
linked by the theme revealed in the title.
Hannah Fury has been called a “parasol-wielding
OutKast” and her music has been described as “unnerving yet simultaneously beautiful.”
Hannah says she hopes her music sounds like “a carousel in deep, warped space
or a carnival under water — something dense and ferocious with thin, shimmery
tendrils shooting out from it in all directions.”
Switchblade Symphony - Wrecking Yard
Gather 'round to hear this tale
A story which has grown old
Torn of their pride
Stars crash and collide
The wrecking yards grown cold
They may laugh and they may say that
This doesn't happen, oh no
If you happen to see them just listen
Take away some of their pain tonight
These are saddened times today
This sickened place we live
We walk right through the wrecking yard It's
Nothing that we give
Listen now, To the songs they sing
They try to stay warm
But the cold it stays
Houses are worn, Absent of storm
They're burning out, tonight
Dancing in the night they're shining
Up above the sky
Laughing in their darkest times
You'll see them asleep in the rain tonight
These are saddened times today
This sickened place we live
We walk right through the wrecking yard
It's nothing that we give
These are saddened times today
This sickened place we live
We're walking right on through the wrecking yard It's
Nothing that we give we're going
uh uh oh
We're going uh uh oh whoa
We're walking right on through the wrecking yard
It's nothing that we give
Gather 'round to hear this tale
A story which has grown old
Switchblade Symphony was founded in San Francisco in 1989 by composer Susan Wallace and vocalist Tina Root. They released their first album "Serpentine Gallery" in 1995." At that time they were the heart of the San Francisco Goth Scene; and since then, they have inspired all upcoming generations.
Switchblade Symphony's music combined orchestral sounds with heavy synth sequences and ethereal vocals to create a highly original sound resembling The Flower Duet sung over a twisted union of classical music and Goth. Switchblade Symphony name refers to this union, the result of cutting up elements of classical music to mix them with harder sounds.
Sadly Switchblade Symphony disbanded in November 1999. Subsequently in 2006 Tina Root started a new band called "Tre Lux." Later in 2008, Tina Root and George Earth (Switchblade Symphony's guitarist) formed together Small Halo.
Sleep Slid iN - Sacrifice Season
It's sacrifice season I won't be there
give me a reason make me aware
I've suffered in silence I'll make you feel there
Covered in violence I'll make you breath air
what a show of indigo a thousand dreams revealed
in the flow of what you know a million thoughts still show
It's sacrifice season I won't be there
give me a reason make me aware
I've suffered in silence I'll make you feel there
Wrapped up in violence I'll make you breath air
How's your show of mind control is it what you fear
steering clear of things so near oh that's so sincere
Wish away (3)
Wish away my dying dreams
Wish away (3)
Wish away my dying dreams
It's sacrifice season I won't be there
give me a reason make me aware
I'll worship your demon to make you feel scared
It's sacrifice season I won't see you there
There is a combination of emotions that helps define and shape the music of Sleep Slid iN. Ted Newsom aka The Rose Phantom and Whitney Willow, together, wallow in feelings of life, death, time, space, fear and love to create a consistent musical thread that weaves in and out of the duo’s songs. This flood of emotions allows both to construct music that defines them. In the end, two moody hearts capture an atmosphere that will most certainly never be forgotten.
Sleep Slid iN was established in the beginning of 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah, when The Rose Phantom began writing songs for the first time with lyrics. The Rose Phantom previously had started "Revideolized" an instrumental music project back in 2003. Then, in 2005, he became a founding member of the progressive rock band, Melodramus. But when the beginning of 2008 rolled around, it was time to start fresh with something that would be unusually different from his other two music projects, so Sleep Slid iN was born. This new vision wouldn’t just involve him; this time it would need the final ingredient, the voice of Whitney Willow.
The Frozen Autumn - Polar Plateau
What if the air suddenly solidifies?
Nothing to regret
Nothing more to plan
Alabaster limbs can outlive
The nitrogen dew
So touch me and I'll
Be the last thing you touch
Marble limbs hold sway on the
Polar Plateau
Where I detest you all
I wish you could disappear
Bury me in Sienna
Bury me in blue sand
Where useless things are thrown away and
Forgotten
Bury me in Sienna
Bury me in blue sand
On the Polar Plateau
My eyes turn electric blue
What if the air suddenly solidifies?
Evidence
Becomes eternal
Troughs and peaks
Streamlining limbs
To fit a perfect guise
A flawless disguise
Humdrum action
Blindfold reaction
Will that soften your heart?
Will that soften your heart?
Bury me in Sienna
Bury me in blue sand
On the Polar Plateau
Please leave me alone
Bury me in Sienna
Bury me in blue sand
For I detest you all
I detest you all
Bury me in Sienna
Bury me in blue sand
For I detest you all
I detest you all
The Frozen Autumn was originally founded as a solo project by Diego Merletto in Turin, Italy, in 1993. Diego who is a keyboardist and synth programmer, founded his band after several years of involvement with various darkwave groups. Guitarist Claudio Brosio joined him during early studio sessions and live performances. Diego released the first "TFA" album "Pale Awakening" in 1995. The album was well received by gothic-wave/dark-romantic fans across Europe, and in 1997 they released the follow-up album "Fragments of Memories."
In 1998 Diego co-founded a side-project called "Static Movement" with Arianna (a.k.a. Froxeanne), who provided guest vocals on the title-track from Fragments of Memories. The duo composed together for six months and then releasing the album "Visionary Landscapes" in March 1999. The musical style of "Static Movement" was very similar to "The Frozen Autumn"; however, "Static Movement" only used electronic instruments. Soon after Arianna became a permanent part of "The Frozen Autumn" line-up, and "Static Movement" stayed as their concept research project.
Clan of Xymox - A Day
Where are you, when I'm needing you
So far away, so far away
I think you are the most important, to me, to me
Where are you?
so far away
it makes no sense
it makes no sense at all
Where are you!!!
Where are you?
so far away
i think you are the most important, to me, to me
my sunken footsteps put theirselves on
through this gallery of deceased
I think their lives must be deceived like the sham nowadays
nowadays (4)
Where are you ? (it makes no sense at all)
so far away
in just one day (2)
it makes no sense at all (2)
in just one day (8)

In 1991 the band moved to England, and released their fourth album, Phoenix. After this album, Anka Wolbert and Pieter Nooten left the band due to disagreements about the band's musical direction. In 1995 Ronny Moorings toured under the banner of Xymox in the Netherlands, including girlfriend and future band member Mojca. In 1997 the band's name was reverted to Clan of Xymox; Moorings recruited new live members, besides Mojca, and started touring.
In 1998 Clan of Xymox got signed by Metropolis Records in the USA, at a time of increasing US interest in the band, and released Creatures. In October 2000 the band, with the addition of Nina Simic (keyboards), released Live, a double CD with nineteen tracks and two videos. In 2001, they released Notes from the Underground. In September 2004, Best Of Clan of Xymox was released, with re-recorded versions of early hits as well as later offerings. Their latest projects include LIVE AT THE CASTLE PARTY concert (CD/DVD) in 2010 and Kindred Spirits (2012).
Skeletal Family - Promised Land
It felt like we’d been here a thousand years before
When the door broke open, let in... the light
So we ran to an empty space and felt so free
You know we’ve never felt like this... before
Turn to face me
hold out you’re hand (hold out you’re hand)
Don’t you know that, this is the promised land (this is the promised land)
With bright lights shining it seems so bright
Don’t you know that things go nice with spice
You now I think the time has come to open the box
and let in to the world what’s been hidden... from inside
Not covering what the day brings, it seems so bright
Don’t you know that, this is the promised land... when alright
Turn to face me
hold out you’re hand (hold out you’re hand)
Don’t you know that, this is the promised land (this is the promised land)
With bright lights shining it seems so bright
Don’t you know that, things are rather inside
Skeletal Family was formed from the ashes of The Elements of Keighley, West Yorkshire, England in December 1982. The original line-up of the band was Anne-Marie Hurst (vocals), Stan Greenwood (guitar), Roger "Trotwood" Nowell (bass), Ian "Karl Heinz" Taylor (keyboard/sax), and Steve Crane (drums).
Taking their name from a David Bowie track off the Diamond Dogs album, the band quickly gained a sizeable local following, encouraged by this produced a self funded single “Trees”/”Just A Friend” released through the Leeds based Luggage label.
Skeletal Family's first album, Burning Oil, recorded in four days at a cost of £640, was released by Red Rhino in August 1984.[1] It topped the UK Independent Chart, staying in the top 10 until the end of the year.[1][4] The band began touring with The Sisters of Mercy during the Sisters' First and Last and Always tour. The group released "Futile Combat" in 1985, along with the "Promised Land" single.
Kommunity FK - Something Inside Me Has Died
I have crept
in your ugly world
I have slept
in every way
I have something
I swear nobody can steal
You have nothing
I'm for real
Because something inside me has
HAS...
DIED !!!!
DIED !!!!
I don't know
Where I'll be in a thousand years
It don't show
I've hid it well behind my other tears
In the shadow
of where you stand in my light
It's so shallow
No need to fight
because something inside me has
Has...
Has...
DIED !!!!
DIED !!!!
Patrik Mata formed the legendary American band Kommunity FK in Los Angeles in 1978. Mata is the sole founding visionary, composer, lyricist, musical arranger, vocalist/guitarist, and style chameleon. When Kommunity FK was first formed His vision was new and his creation was raw. First reviews of Kommunity FK were headlined with Patrik’s quotes such as “Any noise that fits…”. Kommunity FK’s music was so artistic, so strong, so dark. Mata also introduced his own influences, inspired by the 1916 Dada Movement, Anti Art, noise & musique concrète, plus the "cut up method" invented by Brion Gysin but executed by William Burroughs into his music.
Kirlian Camera - In The Endless Rain
Dead cities
Me inside me
Spring's coming far from you
in this solitude
Lost in the true of death.... Sands
Icy Miami Cyborgs
Icy Miami Cyborgs
Inside, inside...
These men without my eyes
they don't know, they don't know
The warm wind's calling from the sea
Waters in which I'm drifting
Golden desertical beachs
Eternal love, eternal cry
I see the windows
I see Uranie hotel from the inside
old chairs on the edge of the wall of shadows
and all that I love...
Dad is dead in my arms
and so, all each others..
Mother!
The trees rebirth around him
how can I explain it to myself..?
Lights of life, lights of life
so near to me
one step again, only one in your rain
laying on the sand
Rain's falling on his body...
There's a point in that immensity
in the obscure of there
And now Miami is dead
Wet sands... wet sands...
The band was founded in 1980 by Angelo Bergamini in Parma Italy. Bergamini was a pioneering act of the Italian synthpop scene, eventually being the first Italian group to be signed to Virgin Records.
During the second half of the Eighties, the sound of Kirlian Camera became gradually darker, moving away from the synth pop sound that marked some of their early releases. In 1993, they signed to German label Discordia, which licensed the self-produced album "Todesengel, The Fall of Life". 1995 came to see them collaborate with label mates Dive on the Obsession EP and :Wumpscut: .
The lineup stabilized in 1999 when singer Elena Alice Fossi joined Kirlian Camera, becoming their lead singer. She is also the leader of side-projects Alice Neve Fox, Spectra*paris and Siderartica, and co-leader in the Stalingrad project with Bergamini himself.
Android Lust - Refuse
I have been broken
Polluted
Destroyed
Ripped apart and crushed by a thousand lies
You may have wanted to see the changes
As the rage erupts and bleeds out of my eyes
The closer I come to end this frustration
My will dissolves
I'm left to lick my wounds
And did you ever realize
My strength that you devoured
Will rot your heart from inside out
Rot your heart from inside out.. rot your heart rot your heart (2)
Rot your heart from inside out
The closer I come to end this frustration
My will dissolves
I'm left to lick my wounds
And did you ever realize
My strength that you devoured
Will rot your heart from inside out
Rot your heart from inside out.. rot your heart rot your heart (2)
Rot your heart
Shikhee D’iordna was born in Bangladesh, but grew up in England and the U.S.A. In 1999, she moved to New York City. Her initial work was done entirely electronically, and attracted a goth/electro-industrial following. After two independent label releases Shikhee released The Dividing on her own in 2002
The Dividing is filled with intensely passionate lyrics delivered in low whispers and startling, penetrating screaming." That album involved more live instrumentation, on the album all performed by Shikhee. She felt that, while dark it was a more optimistic collection than her earlier work, and that her fanbase had become more diversified.
Shikhee's third full length album, Devour, Rise, and Take Flight, was released on February 21, 2006. The album featured more live instrumentation than The Dividing, but embraced a more aggressive electronic sound. Her fourth album, The Human Animal, was made available at androidlust.com on July 22, 2010, and Shikhee is now working on a new release.
Faith and the Muse - Boudiccea
It's the impossibility of Womanhood that vexes me
The child bride symbol
The ability to read eyes and minds
Curves more fluid than desert waves
The tiny bones of the wrist
The organic movement to paint the lips
But the heart
A woman's heart
A woman's heart much older than... than the hollow'd trees
I am the Queen who fell upon her sword
My servants and descendants each... in her turn of glorious wave
But anger is such energy
But beautiful if controlled
A slower simmer, the sharpening in her teeth
But the heart
A woman's heart
A woman's heart has the patience of the black, black sea
Our hands are tied
Our voices mute
Such was our fate when they cut off off our head
Little sisters You seem so estranged
Some may dress and act the glamour'd part but they'll never have
A woman's heart... Hang your head in shame Every time you break (3)
A woman's heart Burns deadlier than the sleeping beast
Faith and the Muse, formed in 1993, are vocalist and songwriter Monica Richards (formerly of Strange Boutique and the mid-80s Washington DC punk band Madhouse) and William Faith (formerly of Christian Death and Shadow Project). The duo draws from a wide array of styles: gothic rock, ethereal, Celtic, post-punk, and even jazz. Neo-pagan and Celtic mythology influences much of their lyrical content. While their sound varies greatly from song to song, their music is always highly emotional and spiritual, with a cathartic and epic character.
Enigma- I Love You, I'll Kill You
I see love, I can see passion
I feel danger, I feel obsession
Don't play games with the ones who love you
Cause I hear a voice who says:
I love you... I'll kill you...
Loneliness, I feel loneliness in my room... (3)
Look into the mirror of your soul
Love and hate are one in all
Sacrifice turns to revenge and believe me
You'll see the face who'll say:
I love you... I'll kill you...
But I'll love you forever
Loneliness, I feel loneliness in my room... (2)
Enigma is a German new age band founded by Michael Cretu (Romanian musician), David Fairstein and Frank Peterson in 1990. Cretu, who based his recording studio A.R.T. Studios in Ibiza, Spain in the early 1990s is both the composer and the producer of the project. His former wife Sandra often provided vocals on Enigma tracks. Jens Gad co-produced and played guitar on three of the Enigma albums
With the 1990 hit “Sadeness Part I,” Enigma brought the new age fascination with Gregorian chants and old-world culture to the world and clubs; the resulting single was both unique and irresistible.
On his second album, 1993’s “Cross of Changes”, some of the old-world elements remained, but the new age angle came to the forefront in a set of slick, radio-friendly pop. The well-known “Return to Innocence” was born.
Hungry Lucy - Grave
Curved arrow hits me
Too late to kiss me
You bow to miss me
Cannot assist me
Life's blood leaving my veins
Now I lie in my grave
Blind palace wants me
All shadows haunt me
Devil's treasure flaunts me
Who else will taunt me
Life's blood leaving my veins
Now I lie in my grave
Black water drowning
Sad faces frowning
Knife's blood is burning
Bodies are turning
Hungry Lucy is a darkwave, trip-hop duo from Cincinnati, Ohio. Beginning in 1998, led by Christa Belle (lyrics, vocals, music) and Warren Harrison (music, programming and production), the two came together when Harrison was asked to contribute work on a Depeche Mode tribute album in 1998.
The name "Hungry Lucy" refers to a young woman named Lucy Ryan who died in 1792. According to the ghost story of Havoc House, Psychic Sybil Leek is claimed to have channeled Ryan, and reported that Ryan was constantly complaining about being hungry.
Lacuna Coil - Falling Again
I lay, looking my hands
Search in these lines
I've not the answer
Crying and I don't know
watching the sky
I search an answer
I'm free, free to be
I'm not another liar
I just want to be myself... myself
And now the beat inside me
is a sort of a cold breeze
and I've never any feeling inside
ruining me...
bring my body
carry it into another world
I know I live... but like a stone I'm falling down
I pray, looking to the sky
I can feel this rain
right now it's falling on me
fly, I just want to fly
life is all mine
some days I cry alone,
but I know I'm not the only one
I'm here and another day is gone
I don't want to die...
Please be there when I'll arrive, don't cry... please
And now the beat inside of me
is a sort of a cold breeze
and I've never any feeling inside
around me...
bring my body
carry it into another world
I know I live... but like a stone I'm falling down
Lacuna Coil, formerly known as Sleep of Right and Ethereal, is a metal band formed in Milan, Italy in 1994. The group consists of Cristina Scabbia (vocals), Andrea Ferro (vocals and keyboards), Cristiano Migliore(guitars), Marco Biazzi (guitars), Marco Coti Zelati (bass and keyboards), and Cristiano Mozzati (drums and percussion).
In 1994 Andrea Ferro and Marco Coti Zelati formed Sleep of Right, but soon changed their name to Ethereal at the end of 1997. Finding that the name Ethereal was already taken by a Greek band, they changed their name to Lacuna Coil, which is half Italian, half English and translates to “empty spiral”.
The members of the band have been known, musically, for composing midtempo songs consisting of guitar lines overlaid with prominent keyboard work, and contrasting dual female/male vocal harmonies to help create a melodic detached sound.
The Gathering - Leaves
I close your eyes with my mouth
Now you don't see anything
But you feel my breath all over
I can feel you too
Although I don't really know you
I don't really care
Cry with me make my day
Tomorrow all will be gone
All the sweetness and all the fun
No, I don't wanna know...
Although I don't really know you
I don't really care
now that you're gone I don't know
how to really feel inside
baring the hope to see you again
I guess I never will
now that I do really know you
yes, I really care!
The Gathering, the innovative band from Oss, the Netherlands, formed in 1989 and came to fame in the second half of 1990s with its unique blend of atmospheric sound, progressive elements and the compelling vocals of former singer Anneke van Giersbergen
The Gathering toured throughout the U.S. and Canada with Lacuna Coil in the spring of 2007. On 5 June 2007, it was then announced that Anneke was leaving The Gathering to spend more time with her family and her own band, Agua de Annique. The band scheduled a final tour stop on 4–5 August 2007 at the Ankkarock Festival, Finland. The Ankkarock Festival was announced as the final performance with Anneke as vocalist.
Era Nocturna - Inside the Dream
"In all the world I've seen nothing to hold on. To keep me safe from this. To keep me warm. While all the world goes to sleep, I'm here awake inside the dream. My will is like a candle's twinkling flame. The days of steady burning, gone. I have no drive to fight the winds. Removed from the board, like a feeble pawn."
"In all the world I've seen nothing to hold on. To keep me safe from this. To keep me warm. While all the world goes to sleep, I'm here awake inside the dream.
........
We're going back to a time where I should have been
And all along I would go where I should lead
Another way to find me inside this dream
........
"I stagnate alone in the cobwebs. (Who are you?)
It doesn't mean a thing. (Who are you?)
It doesn't mean a thing." (Who are you?.... Who are you?)
With everything, with nothing now
It doesn't mean a thing, without - within
When everything has broken down
Do you see yourself inside the dream?
The candles all, are burning out
And here we live inside the dream...
I give everything and get nothing back
Is this all I have inside the dream?
Of all the ways it could kill me (4)
All the words I say... (4)
Be sure that this hasn't happened before and now we couldn't care less... (1)
........
Of all the ways this could kill me
and of all the words I say...
there was nothing before and there were nothing this would stay
Era Nocturna started in
Easthampton, Massachusetts in 1999 as a means of emotional exorcism for Dae
Noctem. She uses both the real and digital in the creation of her music, from
rough mix to final creation, mixing all of them seamlessly into a harrowing yet
